Why Yoga in Nature?
Outdoor classes offer a unique and enriching dimension to your yoga practice by connecting it with the essence of nature.
The word "yoga" itself means "union," and practicing yoga outdoors creates a profound sense of connection with nature, humanity, and the universe. The experience of practicing yoga in nature can intensify your practice in many ways, as nature becomes your inspiration for focusing awareness, breathing deeply, and finding stillness.
When you practice yoga in nature, you learn to embrace rather than battle the elements. Nature serves as a gentle reminder that a breeze can deepen your breathing, the warm sun can make your muscles more pliable, and even a ladybug can invite you to focus on something small and still. The practice of yoga often mirrors animals and the natural world, evoking a sense of harmony, timelessness, and connection to the universe. Each pose reflects the grace of a tree, a stretching cat, or the wingspan of a bird. Every breath becomes a rhythmic flow like the tides, resonating with the vastness of the ocean.
Unlike indoor yoga studios with mirrors, windows, and designer clothes, practicing yoga in nature offers a liberating experience. The open space expands everyone's practice, and there's an instantaneous freedom that cannot be replicated indoors.

"I have been doing Yoga for 5 years in london, lisbon and nyc and I was wonderfully surprised by the teacher Ashley. from her words, to the sense of opportunity, helping, the pace, the getting everyone's names and brief "why am I here", taste for music and simply those oils... Vinyasa gained a new look for me. You made me feel so balanced out, just when I needed that push. May your excellent work continue and your knowledge be taken further."

Vinyasa Yoga Details + FAQs
QUESTION: Where are these classes held? ANSWER: The location varies. Chalcot square is a popular choice as it's gated and dogs aren't allowed, meaning the grass is clean. We sometimes also meet in Primrose Hill Park near the playground. Othertimes we like to meet in the Rose Garden in Regents. And other times in the St. Marks Cathedral grounds. It sort of depends. I invite you to check out the schedule for regularly scheduled classes and then join the whatsapp group for updates and on-the-fly classes.
QUESTION: Is this class suitable for beginners? ANSWER: Absolutely! This class welcomes beginners and experienced yogis alike. Modifications will be offered throughout the practice to cater to various fitness levels and stages of life.
QUESTION: What should I wear to class? ANSWER: Wear comfortable breathable clothing that allows you to move freely.
QUESTION: Do I need to bring anything to class? ANSWER: Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. If you have any yoga props you prefer to use, feel free to bring them along. I may also have some props available for use, including a mat. You need to let me know if you need me to bring them along. A picnic blanket is also nice to protect your mat or to cover up with at the end of class.
QUESTION: Can I bring snacks? ANSWER: Umm, yes please ;)
QUESTION: How long are the classes? ANSWER: The length of time varies based on the day, weather and location. I personally prefer 90 minute sessions.
QUESTION: Do I need a doctor's clearance before attending? ANSWER: It's always best to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Please fill out the student health questionnaire before attending class.
QUESTION: I have diastasis recti. Can I still participate in Vinyasa Yoga? ANSWER: Absolutely! My classes are designed to be safe and effective for moms with diastasis recti. I am knowledgeable about modifications that can help you safely participate in the poses while strengthening your core. I recommend mentioning your diastasis recti to your doctor before starting the class and letting me know as well. This will allow me to tailor the exercises to your specific needs.
QUESTION: Will this class help me recover from childbirth? ANSWER: Vinyasa Yoga is healing in many ways. However, Mum & Baby yoga might be a better fit for you as it offers gentle movements and targeted poses that can help strengthen your core muscles, improve pelvic floor health, and promote overall recovery after childbirth. Try both and see what you feel!
QUESTION: How do I register for a class? ANSWER: You can either check out the schedule and join one of those classes or you can join the whatsapp group and I'll let you know when upcoming classes are coming up that you can register for.
QUESTION: Will this class help me lose weight? ANSWER: While yoga can contribute to a healthy weight management approach, it's important to focus on overall well-being and healthy eating habits. Yoga can help you regain strength and flexibility, which can support your body's natural weight management processes.
QUESTION: How much does the class cost? ANSWER: I offer various pricing options for my classes, including drop-in rates, class packages, and monthly memberships. The information can be found in the booking section above.
